ÖBB INLAND PASSENGER CARRIAGES with only 4 axles
The “Schlieren” Carriages were once the most numerous series of the ÖBB. 800 carriages were in service between 1965 and 1981 with diverse appearances. The title “Schlieren” stems from the licence owner, a Swiss carriage manufacturer. These carriages were built by the Austrian companies Jenbacher and SGP and formed the backbone for the national transport of the Epoche IV. Originally the carriages were delivered in a fir-green livery. After 1975 they were repainted blood-orange and ivory. From 1977 they were given blood-orange aprons. In 1983 the rooves, the chassis and the wheel bases were newly painted.
For those who prefer the nostalgic series we offer the 2nd. Class carriage and the 2nd. Class carriage with Service Compartment in fir-green. For those who use the Epoche IV und V engines we provide the so-called “Jaffa” paintwork of blood-orange/ivory.
