In 1898 the Imperial State Railway purchased a train with tender with a speed of 50 km/h for regional railways, which should also maintain a suitable speed on the main lines. The machine with 404 PS was built in 1901. After 1918 these 65 engines went to the BBÖ, 64 of them were transferred to the German Reichsbahn from 1938 as the Series 98.13. In 1953 10 of these engines entered the inventory of the ÖBB as the Series 91.1, where they were in service on regional lines until 1972. The 91.107 was renovated and functions in private ownership.
